Repairs completed to well at Kenema

Engineers have completed work to install a new pump to repair the well at Kenema School. This work has been funded by St Mary's Church in Pulborough and St Mary's CE Primary School in Pulborough, West Sussex, which is linked to SLC Kenema. The well was originally funded by St Mary's Primary School with help from a successful Stem funding bid over 12 years ago, but after extensive use it had been damaged by storms last year. When the Trustees visited Kenema in February 2024 the well was no longer in use. The Pulborough community therefore decided to raise money to get the well repaired, and the total was reached in April 2024. The Diocesan Education Secretary in Bo, Alex Puhindei, has been monitoring the work and has provided photos of the different stages of the repair and the completed work. The Trustees are delighted with the rapid completion of this project.
