Work begins on new school at Bopani

A new school is being built for SLC Bopani. Children in this village only have a small thatched building for their lessons, so EWA is providing funding towards the cost of a new building with a zinc roof. Education Secretary Alex Puhindei has organised the transportation of all the building materials to this remote village in Pujehun district. The local community will be proving most of the labour for the building work to keep costs down and as part of their commitment to supporting the school.

Large quantities of sand are needed, and getting the sand to the village has been very expensive. This is the site where the sand was packed.
